💡 Overview: Stardew Valley supports up to 4 players. All players share the same farm but have separate money, inventory, and skills. Host saves progress, guest data follows host save.
🖥️ PC Co-op Methods
Steam Remote Play (Recommended)
Host: ESC > Co-op > Start LAN. Guest: Right-click host in Steam friends list > Remote Play Together.
Note: Both need legit copies. Steam friends must be online.
📪 LAN Co-op
Same WiFi: Host: Start LAN co-op. Guest: Join LAN co-op > Refresh to find host room.
For: Dorm, home, internet cafe on same network.
📆 IP Direct Connect
Host needs public IP or tunnel tool. Host starts LAN co-op, guest enters host IP address.
📱 Mobile Co-op
Same WiFi
Host creates room, guest joins LAN co-op and refreshes to find host.
📱 Mobile Hotspot
Host enables hotspot, guest connects, then join LAN co-op in game.
📱 Mobile Note: All players need same platform version. Some mobile versions need Google Play services.
🏧 Mod Co-op (SMAPI)
- All players must have exact same mods and versions
- Launch game via SMAPI, host starts LAN co-op
- Guests launch via SMAPI and join LAN
- Some mods don’t support multiplayer — check compatibility
💡 Common Issues:
• Can’t connect: Check firewall allows game through, ensure same game version
• Lag/latency: Host use wired connection, pause downloads/streaming
